Virginia Jaycees Convention, Jan. 23-25, Virginia Beach. Wanna be there when they reveal the big mystery???
(What mystery you say? The mystery of whether Alexandria will be #2 in the state again, or will we finally surpass PULASKI and be #1!!)
OK, aside from that, there's plenty of good reasons to go to the next VA State Convention--The Year-End Conference & Awards Banquet, which will be January 23rd - 25th.
Here are some great reasons to attend:
Several of your Alexandria Jaycees are going to make the trek--so you'll be able to find some carpool partners and possibly some people to split a room with. (Please reply to Sally, or President Amy Tenhouse if you think you may be attending, so that we can assist in some carpools.)
Our own Diana Karczmarczyk and Daniel Anzanello will be presenting a training at the convention. Don't wanna miss that!
Find out what 4th quarter and year-end awards Alexandria earns!
Have chats with incoming VA Jaycee President Chuck Nelson from Fredericksburg (you've met him if you've come to a couple of our general meetings), AND meet our US JAYCEE President John Weber!
Great professional development training!
Witness the installation of next year's state officers. You just might know a few of them!
Witness a few "crazies" take the Polar Bear Plunge in the cold ocean water.
Have fun at the Friday night and Saturday night socials/entertainment! Friday night is a limo trip to a local bar for some fun with your fellow VA Jaycees. And Saturday is the usual DJ Dance/Celebration. All of these socials are included in the full registration or can be paid a la carte.
Discover a whole new Jaycee world outside of Alexandria... While you're there, network with Jaycees from our local region and all over the state and learn what makes our organization so great and what makes us tick.
Early registration prices end after Jan. 12th. Please send registration by then if you want the cheapest rates.
After Jan. 12th, the price goes up.
You can register online (and pay with pay pal).
Or you can register snail-mail (and pay with check, cash or credit card). Cost for hotel room is $69--not bad! (Hotel is Holiday Inn Sunspree). Here is the link that will take you to everything you need to know.
